DAY 3: NAZCA / AREQUIPA /
MUMMY JUANITA

Arrival to
Arequipa. At noon we can visit the Andean Sanctuary museum,
were we can find, frozen in a special chamber The Lady from
Ampato or best known as la momia Juanita extraordinarily
well preserved, in this same place you can watch a video
about when and how she was found as well as all the rituals
that were develop in those days, the visit is guided.

DAY 4: CITY TOUR AND COUNTRYSIDE / CHIVAY

Visit to the Santa Catalina monastery, Cathedral, Main
Square, Yanahuara colonial district, church and viewpoint,
Carmen Alto viewpoint, countryside and Misti volcano,
Chachani, and Pichu Pichu, Typical Pre-inca terraces still
been cultivated, the Chilina valley, Sabandia mill, and the
Paucarpata neighbourhood.
After that we´ll continue
to Chivay, the ride takes 4 hours on a paved road. Behind
the snowy Chachani, Pampa Cañahua, the Aguada Blanca
National Reserve, Vicuñas in the wild, typical high andean
landscape, typical andean grass (ichu), shrubs such as Tola,
Ccapo or Yareta. Pampa de Tocra. Bofedales, some small
ponds, birds such as the Kara-Kara, andean hawk, Black Ibis,
or Guallatas an andean geese, ducks, some flamingos,
vizcachas (wild rabbit). Continuing along the route
Patapampa, Mirador de los Volcanes, Altitude 4,800 metres
viewpoint of the whitepeaks Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca).
At Mirador del Valle Del Colca around 12:00 hrs Arrive to
Chivay. And Transfer to Hotel.

DAY 5: CHIVAY / CRUZ DEL CONDOR/
CHIVAY / PUNO

Early morning at 06:30am we’ll start through the left Colca
river bank until Cruz del Condor viewpoint, here you´ll can
see the majestic flight of the Condor. On way to Chivay
we´ll pass visiting the typical villages of Yanque and Maca.
"Stone mock up", pre Inca tombs pendants, beautiful costumes
of each village, the incredible number of Inca terraces
still cultivated with crops such as the andean potatos,
corn, quinua. We´ll continue to Puno. Arrive Puno and
overnight in a Hotel.

DAY 6: PUNO / UROS / AMANTANI
We
will pick you up approximately 07:40am. And transfer you to
Puno’s harbor
We’ll be departing on a boat at 08:30am. towards the Uros
islands were we’ll appreciate the Lake Titicaca National
Reserve an excelent place to observe wild animals in their
natural environment. Of the total of 30 floating islands
we’ll visit two that are assembled with totora a local water
plant. After a nice ride we’ll navigate to the Island of the
same name Amantani to which we’ll arrive after three hours
(approximately at 13:00 PM) once we had arrived, the group
will be divided into small groups to settle in the local
family houses where we’ll stay for the night and enjoy our
lodge, lunch, dinner and breakfast on the next morning.
Approximately at 15:00 hours we’ll walk climbing towards the
mountain top (4,150meters) to visit the Pachatata Temple
(Temple of the Father), the music and the meals are prepared
in a typical fashion by the designated families.
DAY 7: AMANTANI / TAQUILE / PUNO
Breakfast.
Departing from the Amantani Island at 09:00 AM towards the
Taquile Island we’ll have a boat ride for about one hour. In
this Island are the best knitters of ancient Perú. In this
place you will appreciate an intact Inca community as it was
in the past centuries, we’ll walk to the higher area of the
Island for around 30 minutes to arrive to the center of the
Island where we’ll stay for 3 hours and learn something more
about this impressive place and have lunch, afterwards we’ll
go back down on a 500 steps stairs.
We will be departing at 13:00 hours to arrive to the Puno’s
harbor at 16:00 hours. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

DAY 8: PUNO
/ CUSCO
Transfer to Cusco in tourist transport, the journey will
last about 8 hours apprx. The road trip will visit some
local attractions such as La Raya, Pucara, Raqchi and
Andahuaylillas. Arrive to Cusco. Transfer to Hotel.
Overnight.

DAY 9: WALKING TOUR (5 Hours approx.)
Visit
the following sites, Cathedral religious colonial
monument with an extraordinary artistic value, we will
continue to observe the 12 angles stone, famous for
the perfect assembly of its corners and sides with the
surrounding stones, we will continue to walk up towards the
San Blas district, known as the "Neighborhood of the
Artists", with narrow streets, many of them very steep
during the Inka was one of the largest in the city also was
habited by the Quechua nobility, this neighborhood has a
church called "Church of San Blas," is the oldest
parish of Cusco, the most feature is that contains an
spectacular pulpit carved in cedar wood, then we will
continue our visit to the Church of San Cristobal,
located in Qolqanpata neighborhood, close to Sacsayhuaman,
is built on what was the palace of Manco Capac. Its
construction began the year 1673 and was a parish for
Indians and local creole. The tower is build of stone but
the church itself is mud. Transfer to your hotel by car.

DAY 10: SACRED VALLEY

Out of Cusco early to go to Pisac ruins on the route
will make a stop at the lookout watch the Taray where
impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, finally arrive at
Pisaq where we´ll visit the archaeological group and its
market. Lunch en route, before continuing to
Ollantaytambo where we will visit the impressive
archaeological group and its terraces. Return to Cusco
visiting to the town of Chinchero, rich in culture
and archeology also in this place we`ll can see how the
people dye and weave garments.

DAY 11: CITY TOUR AND COUNTRYSIDE
This day we´ll visit:
Koricancha .- Religious Center known as the "Temple
of the Sun" highlights the impressive engineering used in
its construction.
Sacsayhuaman .- Located 3 km from Cusco city,
impressive construction of monumental stones and excellent
architecture.
Qenqo .- Ceremonial and ritual amphitheater where
sacrifices were made.
PucaPucara .- Former tambo (military), monitoring
post along the Inca roads.
Tambomachay at 7 km. from Cusco city, ceremonial
center used for worshiping water, traditionally known as the
place of water.

DAY 12: CUSCO / AGUAS CALIENTES/
MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO

Early pick up and transfer to the train station. The trip
will last about 4 hours. Arrival to Aguas Calientes.
This day we will climb in a bus to the Machupicchu citadel
for our day tour and visit its main places, temples, shrines,
premises and stairs that connect the different levels where
all the buildings are.
Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and board the train to
Ollantaytambo where a bus will be waiting for us. Arrival at
Cusco in less time. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
NOTE:
You may get out of
Ollantaytambo and thus make our trip in less time but this
depends of Peru Rail.
